Doyum 1980 has worked on pide for forty-six years. Eleven kinds — with kaşar cheese, minced meat, diced meat, sucuk, kavurma and the Doyum Özel — bake in the stone oven. Pide is served in one size and stretched after you order.

İskender is served as a 120 g portion in the döner section at Doyum 1980. Sauce and butter go over yaprak döner carved from the same spit, with yoghurt on the side.

As the name says, Doyum 1980 has served in Çanakkale since 1980. 46 years of the same work: meat, döner, pide and lahmacun.

Doyum 1980 was founded by Nihat Parlak. Born in 1952 in the İspir district of Erzurum, he came to Çanakkale in 1965. He was a baker by trade; in 1980 he carried that craft into his own business and opened Doyum Pide ve Kebap Salonu in partnership with relatives.

Yes. After the partnerships ended the business continued under its founder; today it is a family business in which the second generation also takes an active part.

After the full renovation in Ocak 2024 the restaurant took on a more modern look. To reflect nearly half a century of history and its founder, Nihat Parlak, the name was renewed as “Doyum 1980 N. Parlak”. The thinking in the kitchen did not change.

Yes. Alongside the plain one there are six kinds: özel, Antep, with cheese, özel with cheese and Antep with cheese. The one-bite fındık lahmacun is also served as a starter.

The “Menu” button opens the digital menu; the /menu page lists everything with current prices. The menu comes live from the restaurant’s own system, so the price you see is always the current one.

Three are made to be put in the middle and shared: the Mixed Grill at 1.5 portions, the Vali Kebab at 2.5 and the Doyum Tepsi Kebab at 3.5. The platter brings Adana, lamb şiş, chicken, wings, aubergine and garnish together.

Yes. Urfa kebab is mild and the plain lahmacun is mild; Adana kebab and Antep lahmacun are spicy. Spicy items are marked in the digital menu and you can filter them out.

In the digital menu each item carries allergen marks (gluten, milk, egg, nuts and so on) and an average calorie figure per 100 g. There are also filters such as “without gluten” and “without milk”.

There are meat-free options: pide with cheese, pide with cheese, tomato and pepper, çoban salad, seasonal salad, haydari, ezme, the rice dishes, the soups and the desserts. The digital menu has a vegetarian filter.
